How much watts are my two kicker cvrs 12″ bumping if they are hooked to a monoblock kx.1200.1 kicker amp?
i bought a kicker box desgined especially from kicker and its 4 ohms and i want to know how much i am actually bumping if i have 2 12 CVR’s powered by a 2004 monoblock kx.1200 watts kicker amp. Thanks:)
a kicker kx1200 makes 300 watts rms at 4 ohms. so each sub is getting 150 watts.
it may be possible to remove the subwoofers from the box and rewire them for 1 ohm, each subwoofer would be getting 600 watts rms. to check this remove one of your subs and see if it is marked ‘dual 4 ohm’. if it is use this to wire your subs to 1 ohm.
