What is a better wire configuration for power distribution in a heavily populated city, delta or grounded-Y?
So long as you are using three phase power distribution you should have an efficient power distribution. The Y-connection is used to generate power and seems to be easier to control however the delta system is especially popular for use on ungrounded system, however harder to control. Due to stability and harmonics Y-to-Y is not recommended, however the usual configuration is Y-Delta-Y or Y-Delta.
For distribution would stick to the Y-configuration.
