What’s the best type of 12 volt car adapter/inverter to get?
I’m buying a 12 volt car adapter/inverter for my trip, but i’m not sure which one will be good and last long.
This will probably a trip to last 2-3 weeks.
Nothing too expensive, but nothing to cheap and useless. I don’t want to waste my money on something that doesn’t even last long.
Any help?

i inherited an inverter, once…used it to make coffee, ran the engine, stereo, hair dryers…I fried my electrical system and the alternator was molten!!!! stupid van.
so…back to my top 2 questions.
i have a refurbished 3,000 watt (peak) inverter in my truck now, wired directly to the battery, and a massive 180amp alternator.
what do you need to run? cell phones, iPod…hair dryer? your need depends on what you should get.
my latest inverter in the truck was like $150. no probs. for very basic stuff like cells and stuff, a 300-600watt would be very sufficient.
