Question about radar detectors and laser jammers?
sooo…I feel like an idiot for having so many ?’s bout these buuuut…
radar detectors
-Will enough distance be allowed for you to slow down?
-Are thew worth the time and money?
-Is the escort SOLO S2 Cordless, as good as the 8500 x50 and the 9500ix
-What is theone most worth buying why and why not?
Jammers
-Will laser jammers work when your car is shot anywhere or just when aimed at the jammer its self?
Sometimes you get enough distance, sometimes you don’t. If cops leave their radar guns on, you will get a pretty good warning, but a lot of the times they don’t leave it on. Depends on where you live I guess. Its not like you can just speed whenever and slow down when it goes off. You have to keep a watchful eye and the detector is basically an assistant.
They are worth it if you know how your local police operates in traffic. Again, its not the case where you just speed whenever.
Its best not to get a cordless radar detector. However, if you must use one, the SOLO is the only one worth considering. Its as old as the 8500, to give you an idea how old it is.
I don’t know if I can pick just one best. The Valentine One has been a great detector for some time with great range. The 8500 is legendary in the detector world and the 9500 is a step up from that model. STi driver is exceptional, but its $450 or something like that. RX 65 is comparable to the 8500. All have superb range.
I think laser jammers will pick up signals from anywhere. I never invested in one personally since I can spot cops and photo cameras pretty easily in my area.
Google radar detector and laser jammer. You will find websites that have done tests with the best models from jammers and detectors. They put them up against all sorts of equipment cops use to check your speed. These tests is how I decided to pick the RX65. Research those tests to see what gives you the best for your money. All the tests are pretty extensive.
Also remember that the cops are always a step ahead. Sometimes they don’t need equipment to find your speed or know you’re speeding.
