How do I create an automated backup of a directory of every night for 30 days in Windows Server 2003?
How I create an automated way to backup a specific directory on an external drive every night for 30 days (without overwriting the previous backup the night before!) on Windows Server 2003?
The easiest way to do this is create a batch file that performs the copy process of backup and run through the task scheduler. Go to Control Panel, Scheduled Tasks and create the task to open the batch file. Another option would be to run the backup wizard Windows Security that the scheduler itself. Since you want is to recreate a new copy of each night, I would recommend to create the batch file to do so you pragmatically. Hope this helps some
