What is the difference in an audio coaxial cable and coaxial cable used to connect video?
It has a ton of coaxial cable and wondered if any for DIY audio coax cable? Just connect an RCA plug? Any information will help.
All "RCA Cables "are made with coaxial cable. If it is cut in half, it will look like the coaxial cable. However: while cable may look the same, but different models of coaxial cable are built with different "impedance". video cables should be done with something called "75 ohm impdedance" coaxial. This is because the input jacks for video signals are designed to be 75 ohms. In this way the cable and RCA connector without looking at the video signals. However, the frequency of audio signals are low and the input jacks of most receivers are not standardized so any work for the impedance audio. When I needed a subwoofer cable 20 + feet, I bought a piece of coaxial cable with "F" connectors already installed and 2 "F-RCA-Male" adapters and cable subwoofer made long by about $ 15.
