How do I disconnect a car alarm for a Mazda Protege 97?
We just bought a 1997 Protege realized that the car alarm will go off if the key is used to open the door. The keyless entry box should be used to open the doors. I want to be able to manually unlock the car but does not mean a car alarm. The factory alarm was not for this model, but the pictures say keyless entry, Mazda, so I guess someone went to a dealer and added that after buying the car.
The cable alarm horn can disconnect. Or a technician can completely disconnect.
